Sharp Criticism and Allegations Mark Assam Election Rally

In a recent election rally held at Moirabari in Morigaon district of Assam, Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi launched sharp criticisms against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal, alleging involvement in religious politics.

Accusing Pijush Hazarika of monetary appeals within Muslim communities, Gogoi stated, “Pijush Hazarika is carrying a bag full of money and he is wandering in the homes and villages of Muslims.” He also criticized the BJP’s economic policies, linking inflation to voting for the BJP.

Highlighting the stance of indigenous Assamese, Gogoi asserted, “The indigenous people of Assam have decided not to stand with the BJP but to ensure victory for Gaurav Gogoi.” He expressed concerns about demographic changes and criticized the welcoming of Chakma-Hajong people into Assam.

Gogoi further remarked on the Nagaon constituency, expressing confidence in Pradyut Bordoloi’s victory and suggesting apprehension among the “Mama-Chacha” duo, referring to opponents.
