Assam Police Arrests IPL Gambler in Tinsukia with Rs 5 Lakh

In a significant crackdown on IPL gambling activities in Tinsukia, Assam, the police arrested one individual, Vikas Beria, seizing Rs 5 lakh from his residence at Manav Kalyan on April 26.

The operation involved a large team of Tinsukia police, including senior officials from the Tinsukia police station. Following his apprehension, Beria was taken into custody at Tinsukia Sadar police station for further interrogation.

The operation was led by Tinsukia’s DSP Pulakesh Rabha and Sadar Police Station OC Paragjyoti Buragohain. Authorities anticipate further crackdowns on several other gamblers in the coming days.
