Google Doodle Commemorates Second Phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in India
As India embarks on the second phase of its monumental democratic exercise, Google joined in to mark the occasion with a symbolic gesture.
On April 26, Google launched a special Doodle on its homepage, featuring an uplifted index finger marked with ink. This symbol, synonymous with the democratic process of the Indian elections, replaced the iconic Google logo.
The interactive Doodle allows users to access search results related to the latest updates on the Lok Sabha Elections in India with just a click.
The second phase of polling in India began today, covering 88 constituencies spread across 13 states and Union Territories for the 18th Lok Sabha Elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to their social media platforms to encourage citizens to participate in record numbers, underscoring the significance of this democratic exercise.
