Deadly Incidents Rock Manipur: Gunfight Leaves One Dead, CRPF Personnel Killed in Militant Attack

In Manipur, a tragic sequence of events unfolded as a gunfight erupted between two groups, resulting in the death of a 33-year-old man identified as Laishram Prem. The incident occurred at Sinam Kom, bordering the Kangpkopi and Imphal East districts, on Friday night.

Additionally, security forces were deployed in the area to prevent any further escalation of violence following the deadly confrontation.

In a separate incident, suspected Kuki militants launched an attack in Manipur’s Naransena area, resulting in the deaths of two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel from the 128 Battalion. The attack, which began at midnight and lasted until 2:15 am, led to casualties among the security personnel deployed in the Naransena area of Bishnupur district.

The assault, reportedly initiated by armed groups firing towards a village in the Naransena area, underscored the volatile security situation in the region.
