Congress Chief Kharge Rebukes Modi in Scathing Letter
In a daring display of candor, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge penned a no-holds-barred letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 2, responding to Modi’s recent communication addressed to NDA candidates. Kharge wasted no time in addressing what he perceived as the Prime Minister’s “desperation and concern,” asserting that such sentiments have driven Modi to employ language unbefitting of his esteemed office.
In his missive, Kharge pulled no punches, accusing Modi of attempting to bolster his campaign with fabrications, asserting, “Repeating a falsehood a thousand times will not transform it into truth.” He reiterated Congress’s manifesto pledges, underscoring commitments such as Yuva Nyay for employment, Nari Nyay for women’s empowerment, and Kisan Nyay for farmers’ welfare.
The Congress leader fearlessly confronted Modi on various fronts, notably the contentious issue of Chinese relations. “The sole appeasement policy we’ve witnessed is your appeasement of China,” Kharge declared, spotlighting the surge in Chinese imports amidst escalating tensions.
Kharge also seized the moment to address Modi’s reservations about Congress’s stance on reservation policies, challenging the Prime Minister to elucidate his party’s historical opposition to SC, ST, and OBC reservations. Additionally, he urged Modi to address allegations of financial misconduct, calling for the restitution of funds purportedly misappropriated from Dalit farmers.
