Arunachal Pradesh Athletes Gear Up for 8th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship

Ten talented athletes from Arunachal Pradesh are set to showcase their skills on the international stage as they represent India in the 8th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship-2024 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, scheduled from May 1 to 8. Selected by the Ju-Jitsu Association of India, these athletes carry the hopes and aspirations of their state and country as they compete against top contenders from around the world.

Expressing his wholehearted support, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his best wishes to the athletes, urging them to focus on the game and deliver their finest performance. He emphasized the pride felt by the state in having its representatives participate in such a prestigious event.

Under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the eighth Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championships have commenced at the Mubadala Arena. With over 1,500 male and female competitors from more than 30 countries, the championship promises intense competition and thrilling displays of skill.

Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, confirmed the readiness of all facilities and services for the event, including accommodations, training centers, transportation, and the competition arena. A dedicated team of volunteers stands prepared to ensure a seamless experience for all participants and attendees.

Abdullah Al Zaabi, Head of the Events and Activities Section at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, expressed confidence in the meticulous planning and coordination efforts undertaken to guarantee the championship’s success. He extended warm wishes to all participating delegations, hoping for a fruitful and memorable competition for everyone involved.
