Security Forces Intensify Vigilance with Search Operations and Area Dominance Exercises in Manipur

In a proactive move to fortify security measures, Manipur’s security forces conducted comprehensive search operations and area dominance exercises on May 6 across the outskirts and vulnerable regions of both hill and valley districts. The objective was to enhance security readiness and ensure the safety of residents amidst ongoing challenges.

To facilitate the smooth movement of essential goods, a convoy of 100 vehicles traversed NH-37, while 237 vehicles navigated NH-2 under stringent security supervision. Special attention was given to vulnerable areas, with security convoys deployed along critical stretches to safeguard vehicle passage effectively.

Demonstrating proactive measures, 129 checkpoints were strategically positioned throughout Manipur, spanning diverse districts across hill and valley regions. These checkpoints served as vital hubs for monitoring and enforcing security protocols.

Law enforcement agencies took swift action against violations, leading to the apprehension of 178 individuals across various districts of the state. These robust measures underscore the unwavering commitment of security forces to uphold law and order, ensuring the safety and protection of citizens across Manipur.
