Security Forces Strike Blow Against Extortion Racket in Manipur, NRFM Operative Apprehended

The captured rebel, identified as 33-year-old Heisnam James Singh alias Kumar, was intercepted and arrested by security personnel near the RIMS Gate on Lamphel RIMS Road in Imphal.

Singh’s arrest marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to dismantle the NRFM’s extortion network operating in the Imphal area. Upon his apprehension, security forces seized a two-wheeler and a mobile phone from Singh’s possession, providing crucial evidence of his involvement in illicit activities.
