Joint Forces Capture Notorious NSCN (IM) Militant in Changlang District Operation

In a strategic operation, security forces captured an NSCN (IM) militant near Laktong in Changlang district on May 13. Acting on precise intelligence, the 31 Assam Rifles and state police collaborated to execute the mission in the Laktong vicinity.

The operation successfully detained Wangmun Khimhun, a self-proclaimed sergeant from Yanman village in Khimyong, Changlang district. Khimhun, actively involved with the NSCN (IM) faction, was transferred to the Changlang police station for further questioning and legal procedures.

This capture marks a pivotal achievement in the continuous efforts to uphold peace and stability in the area, demonstrating the efficacy of joint operations between different security forces.
