Tezpur Gears Up for 10th International Yoga Day Celebrations

Tezpur, Assam – Preparations are in full swing for the state-level central celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day, set to take place on June 21 in Tezpur. Sonitpur District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra chaired a preparatory meeting at the District Commissioner’s Office on Saturday, emphasizing meticulous planning to ensure the event’s success.

Commissioner Mishra instructed attendees to organize the event thoroughly, focusing on key aspects such as selecting and preparing an appropriate venue, training yoga instructors, and encouraging widespread participation from students, athletes, yoga practitioners, prominent citizens, and the general public.

The meeting was attended by several key district officials, including District Development Commissioner Gaya Prasad Agarwal, CEO Zilla Parishad Karabi Saikia Karan, additional district commissioners, the Circle Officer of Tezpur Revenue Circle, all assistant commissioners, the Joint Director of Health Services, the Inspector of Schools, the District Sports Officer, and representatives from the Tezpur District Sports Association.

The coordinated efforts of these officials are directed towards ensuring a grand celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day, highlighting the importance of health and wellness through the practice of yoga.
