Violent Altercation Leaves Two Injured in Guwahati’s Jayanagar Locality

A heated dispute over trash removal in Guwahati’s Jayanagar locality erupted into violence on Tuesday evening, resulting in two youths being seriously injured and prompting concern among residents.

Bitu Poddar and Alok Poddar, proprietors of Anjani Mobile Store, were reportedly assaulted with sharp weapons by Hiranya Kalita and Hemen Kalita, owners of S&F Gym, during the altercation. The Poddars sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Metro Hospital in Khanapara for urgent medical treatment.
