Arunachal CM Urges Voters to Turn Out for Sixth Phase of Lok Sabha Polls

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has taken to social media platform X to rally voters for the sixth and penultimate phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

In a series of tweets, Khandu urged citizens to exercise their democratic right by participating in large numbers, emphasizing the importance of active voter engagement in shaping the nation’s future.

With polling underway across six states and two Union Territories, spanning 58 constituencies and involving over 110 million voters, Khandu’s appeal underscores the significance of this electoral phase.

The outcome of this phase will determine the fate of 889 candidates competing for parliamentary seats.

Highlighting the diverse political landscape, Khandu urged special attention to women and young voters, urging them to play a pivotal role in strengthening democracy through their votes.

The states and Union Territories participating in this phase include Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Notable candidates vying for electoral success include BJP stalwarts Maneka Gandhi and Manoj Tiwari, Mehbooba Mufti from the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party, and Kanhaiya Kumar representing the Indian National Congress.

In Delhi, where all seven Lok Sabha seats are up for grabs, the electoral battle features prominent figures such as Manoj Tiwari, Bansuri Swaraj, Kanhaiya Kumar, Udit Raj, and Somnath Bharti.Haryana’s electoral landscape boasts significant contenders like former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Rao Inderjit Singh, and Naveen Jindal, adding to the electoral fervor.

West Bengal’s tribal belt, the Jangal Mahal region, is a key battleground, with five districts witnessing polling across eight seats. Candidates like Soumendu Adhikari and Abhijit Gangopadhyay are among those seeking electoral success in the region.

The culmination of this electoral phase will also witness polling in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency of Jammu and Kashmir, rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions.As citizens cast their votes, Chief Minister Khandu’s impassioned plea resonates, emphasizing the pivotal role of voter turnout in shaping the nation’s destiny.

With the electoral fate of numerous candidates and constituencies hanging in the balance, the outcome of this phase will significantly influence India’s political trajectory.
