Assam: Tragic Fire Consumes Residence in Goalpara District, Leaving Desolation in Its Wake

A devastating fire ravaged through a residence in Kahibari, Goalpara district, overnight, leaving behind a trail of devastation. The inferno, believed to have originated from a cylinder explosion in the kitchen of the main house belonging to Majendra Chandra Ray in Khilamara village, quickly spread to engulf both structures on the property.

The flames mercilessly consumed property worth lakhs of rupees, including cash, vital documents, clothing, bedding, furniture, ornaments, three mobile phones, numerous utensils, and an extensive collection of books, leaving little behind but charred remains.

Upon receiving distress calls, authorities swiftly mobilized, with Rangjuli police and the fire brigade racing to the scene. With the assistance of the local community, they battled the ferocious blaze in a desperate bid to contain its spread. Despite their courageous efforts, the fire proved relentless, reducing the entire house to ashes before finally being subdued.

The catastrophic inferno has left the affected family reeling from the loss of their possessions and the devastation of their once-beloved home.
