Jiribam District Administration Ensures Smooth Operation of Relief Camps Amid Displacement Crisis
Under the stewardship of Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, the Jiribam District Administration takes proactive steps to supervise and manage relief camps, prioritizing the welfare of displaced individuals.
A dedicated team conducts round-the-clock inspections and engages with camp residents to identify and address any deficiencies in provisions. The district administration, as per a release from the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, remains steadfast in fulfilling the needs of all individuals in the relief camps.
Today, the Jiribam relief team disbursed essential daily items across various camps, ensuring access to vital resources during these trying circumstances. Furthermore, educational activities from pre-primary to class VIII at Chingdong Leikai UPS are slated to resume tomorrow, with teachers instructed to fulfill their responsibilities promptly. Required textbooks and stationery will be promptly provided.
Moreover, the ICDS project has supplied supplementary nutrition to inmates at the Multipurpose Sport Complex Bidyanagar Relief Camp, underscoring efforts to address nutritional requirements.
Currently, there are 943 inmates across seven relief camps in Jiribam, including 353 children, 199 men, and 391 women, as reported.
