Dhubri Marks 10th International Yoga Day with Vibrant Community Participation

Dhubri district in Assam celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024, with fervent enthusiasm and robust community involvement. Organized by the district administration in collaboration with The Art of Living, the event witnessed a diverse gathering from various educational institutions, administrative offices, police personnel, and other local entities.

The morning commenced with participants assembling to practice various yoga asanas and pranayama techniques under the expert guidance of instructors from The Art of Living. Dibakar Nath, the Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri, highlighted the event’s success and the broad participation it garnered.

The Art of Living, renowned for its global promotion of yoga and meditation, played a pivotal role in conducting the sessions. The celebrations included demonstrations of yoga postures, meditation exercises, and discussions on integrating yoga into daily routines.

Brahmachari Achyut, a senior instructor with The Art of Living, underscored the significance of events like these in promoting holistic well-being and fostering unity among diverse communities.

International Yoga Day, observed annually since 2015 following its declaration by the United Nations, encourages people worldwide to embrace yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. The event serves to highlight yoga’s universal appeal and its roots in ancient Indian traditions.
