Assam Sees Improvement in Flood Situation as Rainfall Decreases

Assam is witnessing a notable improvement in its flood situation due to a decrease in rainfall. The state has reduced the number of active relief camps to 99, which are currently sheltering 12,323 people displaced by the floods.

These camps are equipped to provide essential services such as shelter, food, and other basic necessities to the affected individuals. State authorities are maintaining vigilant oversight to ensure that support continues to reach those in need efficiently.

The reduction in rainfall has significantly lowered the immediate risks associated with rising water levels, allowing affected areas to begin the process of recovery and normalization.
