Security Forces Intensify Operations in Manipur, Leading to Significant Recoveries and Enhanced Security
Security forces in Manipur have ramped up their search operations and area domination efforts across the state’s hill and valley districts, leading to significant recoveries and bolstering overall security.
During an operation in Churachandpur District, security personnel successfully recovered three Pumpi and one improvised Pumpi shell. These recoveries mark a crucial step in reducing the threat posed by illegal arms in the region.
In addition to these targeted operations, security forces have been working diligently to ensure the smooth movement of essential items along key national highways. With 170 vehicles on NH-37 and 253 vehicles on NH-2 escorted safely, these efforts have been critical in maintaining the supply chain of essential goods to the region. Security convoys have been provided in sensitive stretches, ensuring that goods reach their destinations without disruption.
Moreover, a network of 124 Nakas and checkpoints has been established across various districts in Manipur, both in the hills and the valley. These measures have resulted in the detention of 51 individuals for various violations, demonstrating the heightened vigilance and proactive stance of the security forces in maintaining law and order.
