Wildlife Team Rescues Abandoned Asiatic Bear Cub in Arunachal Pradesh
A daring wildlife rescue operation successfully saved a 4-month-old Asiatic bear cub from Kolortang village in Lohit district, Arunachal Pradesh. The cub was discovered abandoned near the Tezu-Hayuliang road and promptly transported to the Mini-Zoo-cum-Rescue Centre in Lower Dibang Valley.
Upon arrival at the centre, dedicated caretakers immediately provided crucial care and attention to the young cub, ensuring its well-being.
The cub has since been relocated to the Centre for Bear Rehabilitation and Conservation (CBRC) situated in Pakke Tiger Reserve. This specialized facility houses wildlife experts who will continue to oversee its rehabilitation and prepare it for eventual release back into its natural habitat.
This rescue effort highlights the region’s commitment to wildlife conservation and the preservation of endangered species, ensuring a sustainable future for Asiatic bears in their native environment.
