Assam CM Advocates for Unified Efforts in Drug Eradication Following Dhubri Drug Raid
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has called for a non-political, unified approach to drug eradication, urging all political parties and law enforcement agencies to collaborate effectively.
Sarma stated, “Drug eradication should transcend political lines. We must ensure that law enforcement operates with rigor and that all political factions, including the opposition, stand behind the police in this crucial battle.”
This call for unity comes in the wake of a significant drug-related operation in Dhubri district. On July 25, Golakganj Police Station’s team conducted a raid that led to the arrest of Ajjal Hussain from Chagolia Part I village. Hussain faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, for his involvement in illegal narcotics sales and distribution.
