Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Highlights Vision 2041 Amid Border Tensions

Guwahati: Amid the growing political unrest in neighboring Bangladesh, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has shared his forward-looking vision for the state’s future, focusing on the year 2041. Sarma highlighted the importance of safeguarding Assam’s cultural and religious heritage as the state navigates current security challenges.

With the Indo-Bangladesh border on high alert, security forces and the Border Security Force (BSF) have intensified their vigilance. Reflecting on the situation, Sarma took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his thoughts on Assam’s future. “In these uncertain times, as we guard our borders with Bangladesh, my mind often turns to the Assam of the future, 2041,” he wrote. He stressed the need to protect cultural and religious values to ensure a promising future. “I pray for strength and patience to navigate the present, hoping our efforts today will build a brighter tomorrow,” Sarma added.

In response to the unrest, the BSF Guwahati has issued a high alert along the Indo-Bangladesh border, stepping up security measures to address potential threats. A statement from the BSF Guwahati PRO indicated that all commanders have been instructed to maintain heightened vigilance and readiness for any unforeseen situations.
