Arunachal Pradesh Police Intensify Crackdown on ILP Violations Amid Security Concerns
Itanagar, August 10, 2024 — In a stringent move to uphold Inner Line Permit (ILP) regulations, Arunachal Pradesh Police have detected 155 violations in the state capital, Itanagar, as part of a special enforcement drive launched on August 9. The operation, led by the Capital Superintendent of Police, Rohit Rajbir Singh, focused on critical areas such as Ganga village, Chimpu, and Ganga market, where numerous infractions were uncovered.
Following this crackdown, the Arunachal Pradesh Government has issued directives to all deputy commissioners, mandating enhanced ILP verification at every state entry point and checkpoint. The heightened measures aim to strengthen state security and ensure the protection of territorial integrity by preventing unauthorized access.
The government has called for rigorous enforcement of these regulations, with instructions for regular reporting on ILP compliance and any suspicious activities observed. This initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to maintaining strict oversight on the entry and movement of individuals within the state, reinforcing its dedication to law and order.
