TIPRA Motha Leader Threatens to Expel Bangladeshis from Northeast Over Controversial Claims
Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, founder of TIPRA Motha, has issued a stark warning following a provocative tweet that claimed the Seven Sister states and West Bengal are part of Bangladesh. Debbarma vowed to expel all Bangladeshi nationals from Tripura and the Northeast region if such inflammatory statements persist.
The controversy erupted after Twitter user @talibulilmr posted allegations accusing India of destabilizing Bangladesh and causing artificial floods. The tweet further asserted that the Seven Sister states and West Bengal should be considered part of Bangladesh, and threatened to seek independence for these regions.
In his response, Debbarma criticized the provocative remarks and announced plans to have the Tipra Indigenous Students Federation (TISF) and the Youth Tipra Federation (YTF) track the number of Bangladeshi students in the Northeast. “TIPRA Motha will expel every Bangladeshi from our region if these provocations continue,” Debbarma stated on Twitter.
Debbarma’s comments reflect rising tensions regarding illegal immigration and regional security issues. His firm stance underscores the broader regional anxieties about external influences and the need for vigilant security measures in the Northeast.
