Assam Police Intensify Border Vigil: Multiple Bangladeshi Nationals Detained and Deported
Guwahati, Assam: Continuing their stringent surveillance along the Indo-Bangladesh border, Assam police have recently identified and deported several Bangladeshi nationals attempting to illegally enter India.
In the early hours of September 9, police in Karimganj intercepted and deported two Bangladeshi infiltrators, Shahadat Hussain and Priyanka Gain. This action is part of ongoing efforts to thwart infiltration attempts.
Earlier in the week, three additional Bangladeshi nationals—Sumon Hussain, Suhana Khatun, and Eva Aktar—were identified and pushed back to Bangladesh. This follows similar recent operations where five individuals, including Afroja Jahirul Sardar, Tumpa Haque, Ridoy Sk, Akhi Sk, and Lakhipur Akhtar, were apprehended and deported.
On August 28, Karimganj police carried out a late-night operation that led to the arrest and deportation of Md Zubair Sheikh, Juel Sheikh, and Ruma Khatun.
Authorities continue to enhance border security and monitor infiltration attempts closely, with an ongoing investigation into these incidents.
