Bomb Detonates at Manipur Minister Khasim Vashum’s Residence; No Casualties Reported

Ukhrul, Manipur — A bomb exploded inside the residence of Manipur Minister Khasim Vashum in Hamleikhong, Ukhrul, on the evening of September 14. The explosion occurred around 8:40 p.m., though Vashum, who holds the portfolios for Veterinary and Animal Husbandry as well as Transport and is affiliated with the Naga People’s Front (NPF), was not at home at the time.

The blast, which did not result in any injuries, has raised significant concerns about the safety of political figures in the region. The Ukhrul police and other law enforcement agencies responded promptly to the incident, initiating a thorough investigation to determine the motive and identify those responsible.
