Dhubri Petrol Pump Targeted in Robbery; Three Suspects Arrested

Dhubri, Assam: A petrol pump on DK Road in Dhubri was looted by bike-borne assailants on the night of September 17. The robbery, which left one employee injured and resulted in the theft of over Rs 40,000, has led to the arrest of three suspects.

The attack occurred at the ASTC HP petrol pump, where the robbers assaulted staff, including Pintu Kumar Patel, who sustained injuries. The incident, captured on CCTV, showed the assailants executing the heist with precision before fleeing the scene.

Following Patel’s First Information Report (FIR) at Dhubri Sadar police station, authorities identified and arrested three suspects: Sanjib Das, Saddam Hussain, and Zakaria Sheikh. Das is from Jogomaya Ghat, Hussain hails from Chalakura Part-IV, and Sheikh is from Bhashanir Char.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the motives behind the robbery and to check for any previous criminal activities by the suspects.
