Meghalaya Cricket Association Reveals Squad for Ranji Trophy 2024-25

Shillong, Meghalaya: The Meghalaya Cricket Association has announced its squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season. Following a successful campaign in the Plate Group last year, the team has been promoted to the Elite Group and is gearing up for the new season.

The 12-player squad, with three positions open for guest professionals, will start the season with an away match against Services from October 11 to 14. They will then return to Shillong to face Tripura from October 18 to 21.

Key players selected include Kishan Lyngdoh, Dippu Sangma, and Akash Kumar Choudhary, alongside emerging talents like Arpit Bhatewara and Roshan Warbah. Prabhakar Bairgond, formerly the high-performance coach for the Meghalaya U-23 women’s team, will lead as head coach.

The final squad features Aryan Borah, Akash Kumar Choudhary, Arpit Bhatewara, Bamanbha Shangpliang, Bijon Dey, Chengkam Sangma, Dippu Sangma, Jaskirat Singh Sachdeva, Kishan Lyngdoh, Ram Gurung, Roshan Warbah, and Swarajeet Das, with Adarsh Joshi, Anish Charak, Lerry G Sangma, Shembhalang Pyngrope, and Yogesh Tiwari as standbys.

The team is currently training in Cuttack and will travel for the tournament on October 8. The support staff includes assistant coach Moisten Ch Marak, physio Surojit Biswas, trainer Vikash Singh Chauhan, and team manager Dister Marbaniang.
