Meghalaya Leaders Participate in 10th CPA India Region Conference in New Delhi
Meghalaya’s Speaker, Thomas A. Sangma, and Deputy Speaker, Timothy D. Shira, represented the state at the 10th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference in New Delhi. The conference emphasized the vital role of legislative bodies in promoting sustainable and inclusive development.
Sangma highlighted the significance of such conferences for legislators, stating that they provide essential insights into the complexities of parliamentary governance. This marks Sangma’s third attendance at the CPA conference, where he noted that the knowledge gained has significantly improved his management of legislative affairs within the Meghalaya Assembly.
