Arunachal Pradesh Government Restructures Bureaucracy to Enhance Efficiency

In a notable move to streamline administrative operations, the Arunachal Pradesh government has announced a comprehensive reshuffle of its bureaucratic leadership. This reshuffle affects key officials across several departments, aimed at infusing new energy and perspectives into the state’s governance.

Mimum Tayeng, previously serving as the Secretary of Women and Child Development, will now take on the role of Parliamentary Affairs Secretary, succeeding SD Sunderasan. This transition is expected to enhance the coordination between the legislative and executive branches of government.

Nyali Ete, who has held the position of Secretary of Urban Development, Housing, and Town Planning, has been appointed to the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB), filling the vacancy left by KK Singh. Ete will continue to oversee the Information and Public Relations (IPR) department, reflecting a strategic decision to maintain continuity in key initiatives.

Meanwhile, Krishna Kr Singh has been reassigned from Health Secretary to the Secretary of APSSB, taking over from D Varma. This change comes as the state seeks to bolster its recruitment processes and address staffing needs effectively.

The reshuffle also includes Ira Singhal, the former Deputy Commissioner of Tirap district, who will now serve as the new Health Secretary. Shasvat Sourabh, previously the Deputy Commissioner of Lohit district, will step into the role of Transport Secretary, highlighting the government’s intent to optimize leadership across critical sectors.

In a further round of appointments, KN Damo, formerly the Director of Tourism, has been named Deputy Commissioner of Lohit district. Additionally, JT Obi, who served as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Deomali, has been promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Kamle.

Techu Aran, the Commissioner of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation, is set to take on the responsibilities of Deputy Commissioner of Tirap. Other key changes include B Tawsik moving from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kanubari to serve as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Deomali, while Kunal Yadav will take over Tawsik’s former role.

This bureaucratic reshuffle underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency and ensuring that experienced officials are positioned to drive development initiatives in Arunachal Pradesh. The new appointments are anticipated to foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes effective governance and public service delivery.
