Assam Tragedy: Two Youths Killed by Train While Playing Games on Tracks

Hojai, Assam — In a heartbreaking incident, two young men lost their lives in Assam’s Hojai district after being struck by a speeding train while sitting on the railway tracks. The victims, Aftab Ali and Sharifuddin, both residents of Bhuyanpatti locality, were reportedly engrossed in an online game, wearing headphones that may have shielded them from the sound of the approaching train.

Witnesses indicated that the duo was unaware of their surroundings due to their distraction, which ultimately led to the tragic accident. Local authorities quickly arrived at the scene following reports of the incident, where they retrieved the bodies for further investigation.

The remains of the victims have been sent for a post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances of the accident.
