Tensions Rise in Mayong’s Teteliguri Village Over Alleged Cattle Theft; Suspect Beaten, Vehicle Torched

Morigaon, October 20, 2024: Tension engulfed Teteliguri Village in Mayong, Morigaon district, after locals apprehended a man, identified as Zahoor Ali, on suspicion of cattle theft. The incident escalated rapidly as an agitated crowd severely beat the suspect and held him under house arrest.

In a dramatic turn of events, the situation further intensified when villagers set a vehicle on fire. The vehicle, bearing registration number AS 01 RC 7551, was reportedly connected to the incident.
