Meghalaya Pavilion Inaugurated at 43rd India International Trade Fair in New Delhi

The 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF), held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, saw the inauguration of the Meghalaya Pavilion by the Executive Chairman of the Meghalaya State Investment Promotion Board (MSIPB), R.M. Mishra. The fair, organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), is taking place from November 14 to 27, 2024, showcasing the diverse offerings of various states, Union territories, ministries, and private enterprises.

This year’s theme, “Viksit Bharat @2047,” aligns with India’s vision of becoming a developed nation, focusing on progress, innovation, and the celebration of cultural heritage. Meghalaya’s participation at the fair is led by key departments such as Tourism, Commerce and Industries, Meghalayan Age, and the Directorate of Information and Public Relations as the Nodal Department.

In addition to the government representation, eight units sponsored by the Directorate of Commerce and Industries from various parts of the state are also part of the event, promoting and displaying indigenous products. The Meghalaya Pavilion highlights the state’s rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial potential, offering a platform for showcasing local innovations and fostering greater business opportunities.
