Kaziranga National Park Sees Tourist Boom with Over 81,000 Visitors in Two Months

Kaziranga National Park has witnessed a remarkable influx of both domestic and international tourists, drawing 81,068 visitors in just October and November. Among these, 3,425 were international tourists.

The park recorded 29,579 visitors in October, with the number soaring to 51,489 in November. This surge in footfall has translated into substantial revenue, with earnings of ₹1,46,60,085 during the two-month period.

A key driver of this tourism boom has been the introduction of elephant safaris, which have quickly gained popularity. These safaris offer visitors an intimate glimpse of Kaziranga’s rich wildlife, including its iconic rhinos, tigers, and diverse fauna. The Kohora range has been particularly popular, with frequent tiger sightings delighting visitors.

Adding to the park’s allure, the arrival of migratory birds on November 13 has created a mesmerizing spectacle. These vibrant birds, gracing the park’s wetlands, are expected to captivate tourists throughout December, enhancing the magical experience of Kaziranga.
