Assam Vigilance Directorate Catches Land Record Assistant Red-Handed Accepting Bribe
In a significant operation against corruption, the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, arrested Daneswar Daimary, a Land Record Assistant in the office of the Circle Officer (CO) at Bajali Revenue Circle, District Bajali, for accepting a bribe. Daimary was caught in the act while accepting an illicit payment from a complainant regarding a land partition matter.
The operation was launched following a complaint lodged by the victim, prompting a swift investigation by the Vigilance team. Daimary was apprehended at his office after he took the bribe, further emphasizing the Directorate’s commitment to eradicating corruption in government departments.
