CM Prem Singh Tamang Graces Namsoong Celebration, Highlights Cultural Unity

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang joined the vibrant Namsoong festivities at Gangyap in the Yuksom-Tashiding constituency, celebrating a key cultural event of the Lepcha community. The festival, which signifies the start of a new year, showcased the community’s deep-rooted connection with nature through traditional dances, music, and rituals, drawing enthusiastic participation from across Sikkim.

Expressing his joy at the celebration, Tamang remarked, “It was a pleasure to attend the vibrant Gangyap Namsoong celebration today. Namsoong, a significant festival of the Lepcha community, beautifully highlights our deep connection with nature and the cycles of life.”

The Chief Minister underscored the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage. He called such events a testament to the state’s rich traditions and unity. “Events like these are a testament to our rich heritage and unity.
