Amit Shah To inaugurate projects in Mizoram worth Rs 2,414 Cr on April 1
Guwahati: Mizoram’s development projects worth Rs 2,414 crore will be officially inaugurated on April 1 and the foundation stones will be laid there by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Amit Shah will lay the cornerstone for the Laldenga Culture Center in Aizawl and formally open the Assam Rifles battalion headquarters in Zokhawsang, which cost Rs 163 crore.
Last week, Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga met with Amit Shah in Delhi and thanked him for his commitment to launching the Assam Rifles Battallion Complex and laying the cornerstone for the Laldenga Culture Center.
Zoramthanga said, “I had a fruitful meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He informed me that he will visit Mizoram to inaugurate the Assam Rifles battalion headquarters complex at Zokhawsang and lay the foundation stone for Laldenga Cultural Centre on April 1.”
The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), whose construction would cost Rs 119.2 crore, will also be originally inaugurated by the Union Home Minister under the auspices of Smart City Limited (ASCL).
Shah will also lay the cornerstone for the construction of the Zorinpui-Longmasu NH-502A, estimated to cost Rs. 781.85 crore, the Aizawl Bypass (Package-1), NH-6, estimated to cost Rs. 329.70 crore, the Aizawl Bypass (Package-3), NH-6, estimated to cost Rs. 720.72 crore, and the Laldenga Centre, estimated to cost Rs. 193 crores.
The programme will be attended by several high officials from both the federal and state governments. The district administration has finished its preparations in anticipation of Amit Shah’s visit.
