Assam: Sipajhar SI Arrested by Kokrajhar Police

Guwahati: Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sipajhar Police Station in Darrang district of Assam was taken into custody in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Reports claim that SI was allegedly engaging in physical contact with a woman under the pretence of love.

A team of officers from the Fakirgram Police Station in Kokrajhar arrested the SI after receiving a complaint from a lady who said that the SI named Nitai Roy had engaged in physical contact with her while pretending to be in love.

Further investigation under way.
