BJP Leader Injured in Brawl in Assam While Gambling

Guwahati: A BJP leader was hospitalised after getting into a fight following a gambling season in Sivasagar district of Assam.

The injured BJP leader has been identified as Jitu Hazarika, Secretary of BJP’s SC Morcha. 

According to reports, a brawl ensued after a disagreement on gaming, in which Hazarika was hurt. After the gambling session was ruined, a tense atmosphere developed.

Reportedly, Hazarika participated in the gambling ring as well.

Hazarika was taken in for treatment at a local hospital after the incident.

After receiving information, local police arrived on the spot and made several arrests in relation to the incident.
