Massive Fire Ravages Home in Assam’s Lakla Kankan Village During Rongali Bihu Festivities

Tragedy struck Jagun’s Lakla Kankan village early morning on April 17 as a massive fire engulfed a house, leaving behind a trail of devastation amidst the joyous Rongali Bihu celebrations across the state.

Amidst the festive cheer, Manoh Shungkrang of Jagun faced a harrowing ordeal as flames consumed his home, resulting in the loss of property estimated to be worth approximately Rs 3 lakh. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The inferno, which erupted unexpectedly, sent shockwaves through the village, prompting swift action from the local fire brigade. Despite some delay, firefighters managed to reach the scene and battled the blaze, eventually bringing it under control.

As the smoke cleared and the extent of the damage became apparent, villagers rallied together to support Shungkrang and his family during this difficult time.
