The metamorphosis of the region’s terrain into a canvas of marigold blossoms stands as a testament to the unwavering efforts of these enterprising women. Spanning multiple bighas, the meticulously crafted flower garden, tended to and nurtured by these women, serves as a symbol of their strength and creativity.
From planting seeds to tending to the plants until fruition, these women have undertaken every aspect of the venture, showcasing their proficiency in every facet of flower cultivation, from adornment to the extraction of oils and beyond.
Originating from Kaliabor, a dozen enterprising women took the lead in establishing this extraordinary flower garden, sparking admiration and conversations throughout the community. Collaborating with the state government’s agriculture department, the Sakhi Group spearheaded the establishment of this botanical haven in Dhenkiyal village.
Today, the garden boasts a stunning array of colorful blooms, a testament to the dedication and expertise of these women. Empowered by their endeavors, these twelve women have achieved self-sufficiency through the sale of their flowers, epitomizing the spirit of entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
