Jishnu Dev Varma Sworn in as Governor of Telangana

Former Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma took the oath as the new Governor of Telangana at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The ceremony was officiated by Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe, with notable attendance from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and other senior officials and dignitaries.

Upon his arrival at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad, Dev Varma received a warm welcome from the Chief Minister and other top officials. His appointment comes as part of a recent decision by President Droupadi Murmu to appoint nine new governors across various states. After the ceremony, Dev Varma is scheduled to fly to New Delhi for a meeting later in the evening.
