Two Killed, One Injured in Murder Attack in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pakke Kessang
A tragic incident unfolded on the night of December 3, when a 31-year-old man from Harmuti, Lakhimpur allegedly attacked and killed two individuals in Pakke Kessang district, Arunachal Pradesh. The victims, identified as Singkap Techi (45) and Mema Gyadi (50), both residents of Passa Camp village, were murdered on the spot. A third person, Chuma Techi (25), was critically injured during the attack and is currently receiving medical treatment.
The Pakke Kessang police have registered a case under sections 103(1), 109(2), and 117(2) BNS, with Sub-Inspector Tage Kapa assigned as the investigating officer. The primary suspect in the case, Vijay Bumich, has been apprehended by the police and is currently under custody. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident to determine the motive behind the gruesome attack.
In response to the attack, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tasi Darang urged the public to exercise caution when hiring laborers. He emphasized the need for employers to properly verify the identity and background of workers, including obtaining valid address proof and police clearance. SP Darang also highlighted the importance of providing separate accommodations for laborers and ensuring compliance with the Inner Line Permit (ILP) requirements.
