Vibrant Fishing Competition Held in Adgre, Meghalaya, Celebrating Cross-Border Unity

Adgre, located in Meghalaya’s North Garo Hills district, recently hosted a lively and well-attended fishing competition, drawing hundreds of participants from both Assam and Meghalaya. The event, brimming with enthusiasm, not only highlighted the competitive spirit of the participants but also celebrated the camaraderie between the two neighboring states.

The competition offered lucrative cash rewards to the winners, with the participant who caught the heaviest fish walking away with a grand prize of Rs 50,000. The second and third place finishers received prizes of Rs 30,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively. In addition to these main prizes, organizers ensured that consolation prizes were available to maintain the lively spirit of the event, encouraging everyone to participate and enjoy the festivities.
