Suddenly it took a while! Fire in moving vehicle in city’s Azara

Fire in moving vehicle in Azara in the city. A four wheeler also burnt on National Highway 37 in front of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Azara.

The mechanical glitch is suspected to have caused a fire in the moving Swift Desire vehicle. The vehicle burst into flames on guwahati-Goalpara connecting National Highway near Azara while travelling from Barjhar airport to Shillong.

The fire is suspected to have occurred due to a mechanical malfunction in swift vehicle number AS-01-MC-6580. The vehicle was carrying four passengers including two women from the airport. But fortunately no one was injured in the fire.

Later, a fire brigade of Azar police traffic control wing, Air Force came to the spot and controlled the fire. Two fire tenders reached the spot.
