Assam: Huge Cache of Arms & Ammunition Found In Udalguri

Guwahati: A huge cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered by Assam Police from Udalguri district on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, the arms were buried deep in a forest area in Sikaridanga.

The recovered arms include six Ak-47 rifles, one 9mm pistol, 8 magazines and 74 live ammunitions.

Director General of Police (DGP), Assam GP Singh took to Twitter to inform the mass recovery.

 “Huge cache of weapons recovered by @udalguripolice We remain committed to free Assam of all unlawful weapons,” his tweet read.

However, it is unknown how many people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of the weapons.
